kindred spirits

the girls encounter a kindred spirit doggo (more pink, please!).

i love watching them interact with pets and especially dogs. it’s been just over 6-months since our dear buddy, pudge passed away and it seems like at least once a week we still talk about that sweet old guy. 
Z still draws him when she draws family pictures or mentions him when we’re singing the family song.

 
and after nearly every encounter with a new dog, she’ll say some variation of how she really misses him but knows that “pudgie will always be in our hearts”.

goodness. i am in awe of such effortless and genuine tenderness. and i miss my buddy.
